A stained glass window and a brass plaque to Honour the fallen .
THIS WINDOW WAS SET IN PLACE TO COMMEMORATE THE FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY
OF THE ENDING OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR AND ALL THOSE WHO SERVED IN IT.
WE REMEMBER WITH PRIDE TWO MEN FROM THIS VILLAGE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE SERVICE OF THEIR COUNTRY IN THE TWO WORLD WARS:
PRIVATE HENRY [ Harry] GIBBARD, DIED 11 AUGUST 1915 AGED 30 YEARS.
BURIED IN ALEXANDRIA [ Chatby] MILITARY And WAR MEMORIAL CEMETERY, NORMANDY.
LANCE CORPORAL THOMAS VICTOR WALKER , DIED 07 AUGUST 1944.AGED 23 YEARS. BURIED IN St.CHARLES de PERCY WAR CEMETERY, NORMANDY.
LOOK UP, AND SWEAR BY THE GREEN OF THE SPRING THAT YOU'LL NEVER FORGET
SIEGFRIED SASSOON.
The glass in the west window, depicting entwined poppies, was commissioned to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the end of World War II. The glass was designed and created by Sharon Campbell.
