Located on the brick pathway overlooking beautiful Bondi Beach. The plaque reads "One of Bondi's great surf men, Harry Nightingale was Chief Instructor and Life Member of Bondi Surf Bathers'Life Saving Club. Arguably Australia's greatest Rescue and Resuscitation Team coah, the NSW Championship Harry Nightingale Memorial Trophy is name in his honour. He coached swimming for Australia at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, for Australia and Sri Lanka at the 1938 Sydney Empire Games and established the Surf Life Saving Association of Ceylon. He was inducted into the SLSA Hall of Fame in 2004."
