All that remains today is a concrete marker/base with a small bronze plaque memorial set within, that marks the spot of this former tree. To the rear of the marker is a beautiful fountain which can be found on the Smithsonian Inventory page. This area is part of the Haddonfield Historic District and the library is a contributing structure. The library was chosen as the spot for this tree as it is the most open area in the community as well as the most visited by pedestrians and has the most traffic going past the various streets which bound the property. From what I read, there was a huge celebration on July 4 when the tree was planted and dedicated.

The marker reads:

Liberty Tree
Planted In
Haddonfield's
Bicentennial
Celebration
1776________1976
