The Wellington St bus station is the major bus station in the city of Perth. Most routes from the city begin here or at least pass by this station. It is immediately to the north of the central city and immediately adjacent to the Perth Train Station. The station was constructed in the 1970s, while it is still in good repair there is a plan in place, as part of the northern city refurbishment, to replace the current bus station with a new underground station.
