While sitting on the Contemplation Bench I decided to do some sketching. 2 hours later on this nice summer morning I had a decent pencil drawing of the chapel.

This chapel located in the cemetery is just to cool not to waymark, but it doesn't fit into any existing category. It now has found a home in this category. Point of view was looking southwest next to a Doughboy Statue.
This chapel sits in Evergreen Cemetary which was establish on land donated by Gen. William Palmer and was built after Gen. Palmer's death. In March 1909, General Palmer passed away and the mourners had no place to shelter them from the freezing temperatures. The Ladies Aid Society lobbied the Colorado Springs City Council for a chapel that would offer a comfortable setting to accomidate loved ones. The chapel was completed in the summer of 1909 at the cost of $10,000.
