This draft horse is emblematic of the importance draft horses once played in the success of Montana ranches. To celebrate and preserve that important part of Montana history, the Big Sky Draft Horse Expo is held every September at the Tri-County Fairgrounds. This statue is at the north edge of the fairgrounds.
