The two tall stacks and the foundation are all that remain of this once massive mill that was burned for safety reasons in 1967.

Built in 1888, the 100 stamp, Bi-Metallic mill was over 360 feet long and 150 feet wide. The town of Kirkville sprang up around it to house the mill workers. Then as often happens, the ore ran out, the mill closed and people began to leave the town.
The huge mill with the two stacks towering over it lived until 1967 when the state made the decision to burn it for safety reasons. Today only the cut granite foundation, remains of flues and furnaces, along with the two stacks are left of the mill.
The remains are on private property so the co-ordinates are from near the base of remains of the foundation.
