The convention and exhibition center of Basel has several buildings with about a dozen huge halls and over 20 convention rooms. Also part of the area are the Basel Trade Fair Tower with a hotel and restaurants and the Basel Musical Theater.
This is owned by the company M.CH, a fusion of the formerly local companies in Basel and Zürich (they also own the convention center in Zürich-Oerlikon).
There is a countless number of regular and special events in the area. The best known international ones are Baselworld, the world's biggest watch and jewelry fair, and the Art|Basel, the world's biggest art fair.
