Located outside The Grafton centre this compass rose is in the pedestrian area at the junction of Fitzroy Street and Burleigh Street. It is a compass rose made up of a block paved circle with larger paving around the circumference and the compass points are large, polished blocks. The divisions between the main points are also shown in smaller polished strips.

At this time of year there is a Christmas tree in the centre.
