Duluth & Northeastern #16 locomotive (a Baldwin 2-8-0) and this D & NE caboose are in this small park in downtown Cloquet that is dedicated to the Great 1918 Forest Fire.

This caboose wasn't around for this great fire which was Minnesota's worst natural disaster but Loco #16 was. The fire was caused by sparks from the railroad tracks and 453 lives were lost while 12,000 were left homeless.
