Another plaque is located under upper plaque on front which reads: ANOTHER LIONS CLUB PROJECT SMOKEY BEAR LIONS CLUB. The new plaque reads: Another Captain Lions Club Project, and has International Lions club Emblem. (See photo) An old plaque at the bottom of the obelisk at the front of the monument reads: MONUMENT DESIGNED BY EPIFANIO CARAJAL ASSISTED BY BONEY ZAMORA circa 1950 This adds the designer and is a different date.
