Memorial to air-tanker crew member, Samuel Tobias, who died along with pilot Leo W. Koponen, when their tanker crashed on May 15, 2000 while fighting the Scott Able Fire near Cloudcroft, NM. Memorial is at a roadside scenic stop in Lincoln NF. Has parking and can accommodate large vehicles. Please stop and pay honor to someone who loved the land you see in the distance.
