According to the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area website, "Red Rock Canyon NCA is one of the finest rock climbing areas in the world. Red Rock Canyon NCA is a specially managed area administered by the Las Vegas Field Office of the Bureau of Land Management."

Rockclimbing.com touts Red Rock Canyon as the "home of some of the best sandstone climbing in the world."

The posted coordinates are for the Calico Hills, one of several popular rock climbing areas in Red Rock Canyon. During our visit, we were fortunate enough to observe and photograph a rockclimber in the Calico Hills area.
