Four unknown pioneers lie here near the Jolly's Hotel site along State Highway 6.

Jollies Pass received its name from the hotel that was on the stage road leading to the Wakatipu Goldfields around Queenstown. Today nothing remains of the hotel and except for this marker of the graves little more than the pass itself reminds people that this was a place that people live at.

The sign reads:
