Opened in 1969, the Robert H. Goddard Planetarium is a collaborative effort of the Roswell Independent School District and the Roswell Museum and Art Center. Seating 120, the planetarium presents star shows, multi-media presentations, and hands-on activities for children and families. Its goal is to help its visitors understand the changing universe and the impact of space science on their lives. Its programs and exhibits are directed mainly at school age groups.
