At the base of the Lumsden War Monument the local Returned Servicemen Association put together a time capsule to be open at some future date.
The capsule was placed on August 15th, 1995, the 50th Anniversary of the end of World War II. It commemorates that event. Unfortunately there is no date shown on the plaque.
