Historie varení piva v Nové Pace sahá hluboko do minulosti. V 16. století byla mestu Nová Paka panem Buriánem Trckou z Lípy udelena listina, kterou se povolovala stavba sladovny a pivovaru, varení a prodej piva. Z historický pramenu je ale známo, že pivovar i sladovna stávaly v tomto meste již dlouho predtím. Dríve, než byl založen soucasný akciový pivovaru se sladovnou v 19. století, byly na kumburském panství, kam tehdy patrila i Nová Paka, další dva pivovary – v Drevenici a v Pecce. Oba vlastnil tehdejší majitel celého kumburského panství Karel kníže Trautmannsdorf. Po vybudování moderního pivovaru v Nové Pace byly oba casem uzavreny.

Základní kámen pivovaru v Nové Pace byl položen r. 1871 a již behem prvního roku byla uvarena historicky první várka. Od dob svého založení se pivo nikdy neprestalo varit. V soucasnosti akciová spolecnost Pivovar Nová Paka zamestnává 60 zamestnancu a varí 7 druhu piv.

History of beer brewing in Nová Paka stretches far to the history. In the 16th century, the town of Nová Paka was granted a document by Burián Trcka of Lípa, by which the construction of the malt house and brewery as well as brewing and sales of beer were permitted. However, it is known from historical sources that the brewery and malt house had been in this town long ago. Before the current joint-stock brewery with malt house was established in the 19th century, there had been two other breweries – in Drevenice and Pecka – in the Kumburk estate, where Nová Paka had also belonged to. Both were possessed by the then owner of the whole Kumburk estate, Karel knight Trautmannsdorf. After the construction of a modern brewery in Nová Paka, both were closed in due time.

The foundation stone of the brewery in Nová Paka was laid in 1871 and as early as in the first year, the first brew was brewed historically. Since the foundation of the brewery, brewing has never stopped here. Nowadays, the joint-stock company Brewery Nová Paka employs 60 employees and brews 7 types of beer.
