At the Barfüsserplatz in the heart of Basle, 6000 artistically arranged objects are displayed on four floors of the museum, totalling 1000m2 (ca. 11000 sq.ft.). The exhibits date back to the beginning of the nineteenth century and reflect the styles of the day.
On the ground floor there are also a shop and a restaurant, that can be entered without admission.
