Hobart is the capital city of the Australian state of Tasmania. It has temperate weather and is dominated by the nearby Mt Wellington (about 1700m). Visitors can experience local wines and produce, tours, art galleries and museums. Local food is excellent and visitors might choose to drink beer from the Cascade Brewery located at the base of Mt Wellington.
Hobart's most famous person must be Errol Flynn. Errol Flynn was born in Hobart, and lived in Sandy Bay located just south of the docks. As a child he used to "stand on the wharves studying the many colorful flags from ships from around the world" (McNulty, "Errol Flyn: The Life and Career")
