This brand-new Xeriscape Garden is a 7,000 sq. foot garden containing 75 varieties of plants. Xeriscape gardens are designed to use low-water methods and plants. Typically these are yucca plants, cacti, and rocks, so this garden shows you can use many more different kinds of plants.
It is an educational site, and signs will be posted to educate the public about the various plants used as well as explain the method of this type of gardening. These plants are expected to grow even in the winter!

This property used to be a residence, and from Whispering Heights park just south of here we used to wonder who lived in the house and how we could get to the lake. The City purchased the property and the house was converted to a pavilion for a brand-new city park that includes a dog park, fishing pond, huge playground, arboretum, and walking/biking trails. It is a beautiful park with something for everyone.
It'll be really fun to watch this garden develop over the years.
