Cathedral of Saint Bartholomew (in Czech katedrála sv. Bartolomeje) dominates centre of Plzen, the Czech Republic.
The tower of this cathedral is HIGHEST church tower in the Czech Republic.
Construction of the Gothic style building, located on the main square, had started in 1295 and was finished by the beginning of 16th century.
After a fire in 1835 has reconstructed roof of the tower a today's height.
Tower is 102.26 meters high (335.5 ft.), it is the highest church tower in Czech Republic. A gallery at a height of 62 meters (203.5 ft.).

Chrám svatého Bartolomeje je nejvýznamejší architektonickou dominantou mesta.
Byl budován postupne od konce 13.století do pocátku 16.století.
Jedná se o gotický trojlodní chrám, je 58 m dlouhý a 30 m široký.
Vež chrámu je NEJVYŠŠÍ kostelní veží v Ceské republice. Je vysoká 102,3m a má ve výšce 62 m prístupný ochoz, na který vede 301 schod.
Nejvýznamejší památkou kostela je Plzenská madona (z doby okolo 1390). Jedná se o gotickou opukovou sochou, umístenou ve výklenku na hlavním pseudogotickém oltári.
V roce 1993 se kostel svatého Bartolomeje stal sídelním kostelem biskupa plzenské diecéze (založena 31. kvetna 1993 papežem Janem Pavlem II.).
