Historic postcard from Kilgore Memorial Library's "
Perlman's Postcards" collection shows the Burlington Railroad passenger depot before 1910.
The location from which the photo was taken was the southeast corner of 15th & Lincoln Avenue, looking ESE across the tracks toward the depot. This is only a few feet from the BURLINGTON ROUTE 55.90 "Railroad Bridge" waymark.
The B.N.S.F. railroad now uses the depot building as office and storage for the local maintenance of way crew, so the property is no longer open to the public.
The building's G.P.S. coordinates were obtained from Google/maps. The coordinates for the vantage point for the photos is N 40.87437 x W 097.59289.
