Remains of an old homestead/farmstead, now in the middle of the woods. The homestead was vacated at the beginning of World War II when the U.S. Government bought out 1000's of acres in this area for an ammunition plant. Prior to buy out this would have been a rural farmstead. The old homestead has continued to deteriorate over the years.

There is also a stone lined well located N38° 40.998' W90° 42.910', just to northeast of the building.

To access the homestead remains will require about a mile hike each way on a side trail off the Lewis and Clark hiking trail in the Weldon Spring Conservation area. A short off trail walk will be required. Trailhead coordinates listed below (plenty of parking available at trailhead).
