Le Poet is a perched hill village south of Laragne Monteguin. Le Laragnais, Val de Méouge area in the south west of the Pays de Buech now has many contemporary sundials to augment the historical dials in this area. The local tourist information offers a specific brochure, “Balade et Decouverte au Coeur des Cadrans Solaire.””Explore and Discover the Heart of the Sundial Area”. Many of these are creations of the renown sundial artist, Rémi Potey. Each village competed with their neighbours to sponsor the best sundials.

The image on the sundial on the church in Le Poet is Leanardo de Vinci's Vitruvian Man. In this dial the gnomon projects from his mouth not other obvious part of the male anatomy shown on sundials elsewhere.
Sundial Type: Vertical - Wall mounted dial plate
