These two electric palm trees were spotted in front of the entertainment complex at the end of the Old Orchard Beach Pier.

On Old Orchard Beach, at the pier near the amusement center, is a pair of red electric palm trees that are on either side of the entrance to the pier entertainment complex. The sign above the door says:
Pier Entertainment Complex, Restaurant - Night Club, established 1898.
The pier has been destroyed and rebuilt a few times, the last being the destruction in the great "Blizzard of '78" (February 7, 1978) and rebuilding in 1980. The trees seem just a little out of place as there are no palm trees in Maine. But, they do sort of blend in with the lights around.
