Il Kil. Located on the highway between between Chichén Itzá and Valladolid, Mexico is located within an ecological and archeological park. This park also contains the Sagrado Cenote Azul, in a sinkhole that is 26 meters deep and surrounded by vegetation. Its crystal blue waters are ideal for swimming. The entrance fee for the park is M$40 pesos. It is open daily from 8AM to 6PM
This collapsed limestone karst is open to the sky but eighty two feet below ground level and reached by a huge stairway. The water is one hundred feet deep and cold.
