Cabin ropeway in small town Tatranska Lomnica is in operation during all year. Winter time is very good for skiing and in summer and autumn is time for hiking.

[EN] Cabin ropeway running between station Tatranka Lomnica and Skalnate Pleso, crossing station Start. This cabin ropeway was built because of tourism rising in this location - Skalnata valley. Old cabin ropeway (also from Tatranska Lomnica) was old and had less capacity.
New cabin ropeway's down-station is more westward like the old one's. From the middle-station Start they have the same - parallel track to station Skalnate Pleso.
The reason for this new ropeway was a World championship at 1970. Finally ropeway launched public transport at 1973. Distributor of this new ropeway was "Transporta Chrudim". After some years old gondolas was changed for new one's from Bruder Girab company.
[SK] Kabinkova lanovka premava medzi stanicami Tatranska Lomnica a Skalnate pleso, prechadza cez medzistanicu Start. Tato lanovka vznikla z dovodu vysokeho zaujmu o Skalnatu dolinu pre ktoru bola prva kabinkova lanovka uz nepostacujuca.
Nova kabinkova lanovka zacina tiez z Tatranskej Lomnice ale jej udolna stanica je viac zapadnejsie. Od medzistanice Start uz ide paralelne so starou lanovkou do konecnej stanice Skalnate pleso
Myslienka jej realizacie ozila v case priprav na lyziarske Majstrovstva sveta 1970, hotove dielo Chrudimskej Transporty odovzdali verejnosti v auguste 1973. Neskor boli kabinky Transporty vymenene za kabinky rakuskej firmy Bruder Girab.
