Only 370 meters from the famous Praya Ponta Verde (Greenpoint beach) in coastal part of Maceio city downtown is located lighthouse Farol da Ponta Verde. Only 12 m high, covered by classic combination of white and red is assigning the dangerous sandbanks and coral riffs which are lining this part of the Brazilian coast.

The lighthouse is accessible by boat/swimming, or at extremely low tide, by walk (last 50 meters you will be in ankle-deep water).
