The visit of President Bush, accompanied by his wife Laura, was received with mixed reception in Austria.
The apartment block is on Wienzeile, west of the city centre. An outdoor market is regularly held on this street.
The structure of the sign, i.e. red and white roof tiles, means it is still present a long time after the event.
