The K Series Loco that was originally on display here was acquired by the Mornington Railway Preservation Society to be rebuilt. The unit now on display was assembled from worn out components from K 177's frames & coupled wheels, K 174's pony truck & boiler, and K 159's tender.

The Loco is located in a nice park which would make a nice rest stop if travelling there are picnic tables, toilets, shelter & electric BBQs available.
