La playa del Doradillo está bañada por las aguas del Golfo Nuevo, al sur de la península Valdés y al norte de la ciudad de Puerto Madryn (provincia de Chubut, Argentina). Es una playa cubierta por grava gruesa y de gran pendiente, lo que permite que, durante la marea alta, las ballenas francas australes puedan aproximarse a la orilla facilitando así su observación, entre los meses de julio y octubre. En especial lo hacen las hembras junto a los ballenatos, que recorren la playa arriba y abajo fortaleciendo la natación de los jóvenes en un entorno seguro.
Península Valdés es mundialmente famosa por ser una de las más importantes áreas de cría de la ballena franca austral (Eubalaena australis), siendo este punto uno de los más frecuentados para su avistamiento desde tierra.

Doradillo beach is located in the Golfo Nuevo, south of the Valdes Peninsula and north of the city of Puerto Madryn (Chubut province, Argentina). This beach is covered with coarse gravel and steep slopes, allowing that during high tide, the right whales may approach the bank facilitating its observation, between July and October. In particular, do females with the young whales, which travel up and down the beach, swimming strengthening of youth in a secure environment.
Valdes Peninsula is world famous for being one of the most important breeding areas for the southern right whale (Eubalaena australis) and this point one of the most popular for watching from land.
