The chapel was built by order of Eugen Tyttel, the abbot of Plasy monastery and it was the first work of the famous architect Jan Blazej Santini for this monastery.
When the monastery was closed by reforms of emperor Joseph II, the chapel was bought by the village.
Currently it is surrounded by private grounds, a visit of the chapel can be arranged at the village office. The posted coordinates point to the roadside where you have a good view of the chapel.
