W.H. Bovey & Son auto parts store had a prime location just across the tracks from the
C.B. and Q. railroad depot (WMPCW) when they built in the 1920s. When the
Lincoln Avenue underpass (WMPCR) was constructed at the end of the 1930s, the store was cut off from the main stream. The building is odd-shaped because 15th Street runs parallel to the tracks, rather than at right angles to Lincoln Avenue.
The building is currently divided between SLOAN and WALSH ELECTRIC and BTR REFRIGERATION; the old W.H. BOVEY and SON "ghost signs" are still visible on the building's side walls.
