A tiny piece of history remains intact in Ohura, the old petrol station still shows a ghost sign with the brand name "Atlantic" only just visible.

This old building, now privately owned, still bears the brand name Atlantic, a reminder of times past when Atlantic Petrol was available throughout New Zealand. This was an Atlantic Service Station in the country town of Ohura. This brand of petrol is no longer in existence.
There is now no gas station in Ohura, the nearest is 50Km (30 miles) away in Taumarunui.
