Accurate records of the castle's foundation is missing, but it probably was built before the year 1289, and left the Janovice, which in Chrenovic points in 1289-1318. The castle once housed the knight's family Chrenovic, whose most famous representative of the Milota Chrenovic elected in the year 1421 the parliament in the provincial government. The other owners are known citizen of Kutna Hora Kunrát Naz, who bought the castle 1474th The last owner Chrenovic become gentlemen of Rican, who joined Ledec Castle estate. Since 1545, the castle first stated as abandoned and since then gradually fell into disrepair until today.
