At the corner of Rutherford Ave and Austin St in Boston, MA. At the northwest corner of the intersection (the corner where Bunker Hill Community College lies). In the intersection is an island, providing a right turn lane for southbound traffic on Rutherford Avenue (separating it from continuing traffic), as well as containing a stoplight assembly for southbound Rutherford Avenue traffic.

On this island is the benchmark. It is embedded in the southeastern portion of the island, positioned roughly 4 feet from the curb.
