At 403 Washington at the south end of downtown Dedham, MA, is an old gasoline pump standing outside of the Dedham Bike and Leather store on the sidewalk. The bikes aren't that type of bike - they require human power to go. But the web site for the bike shop said that the pumps belonged to one of Dedham's first automobile service stations. The price is said to have been frozen to the 1970s.

The display is a pair of pumps that are bound together and have hangers that extend the hoses out at least a car-width. The pumps are painted red and white and bear the Mobil-gas brand, including the pegasus symbol on the round glass bulb top. One of the pumps has the sign for 'regular' and the other for 'premium.' The price showing on one pump is likely $1.88, though the dollar place number is bent. This seems a bit high for the 1970s.

The pumps appear to be in good shape, though there are rust streaks in several places.
