Easdale harbour is a grade 2 listed monument. The walls were rebuilt last century. The harbour is on a 50 year lease to the island community to look at regenerating the waste land around. The payphone is next to the ferry waiting room.

Easdale was once busy with slate mining, which died out in the 1950's.
There is a community move to rebuild the island. At the time of visiting all three windows had plexiglass in them. Apparently the winter gales knock them out.
