Found this entrance to an old 'Chinese Cemetery' along 'Highway 180' Mamalahoa Highway, between Holualo and Honalo along the upper road east of Kailua-Kona and Keauhou Bay.
The upper flat section of this Cemetery has no headstones and is overgrown with 'Coffee-Macedena Nut- Palm and other trees.... but looking at the mounts that some trees are growing out of they could have been graves.
..As you go further down the pathway you come upon an open section frequented by feral cats and mongoose. The slabs or tablets are the only reminder of the abandoned graves now lost. Some of the cryps are either broken or destroyed and by the stone mounts you realize that some must have been too poor to even erect a headstone.
