?I was resently visiting this area and noted the stone remains located here. Taking an educated guess, I believed that there once was a mill here. I have found photographs of the "Old Mill," but very little information other than the following:

The first permanent settler in the area was Isaac Teal who lived near the lower falls. He erected a small mill around 1820. In 1841, Theodore Jennings and his mother road horseback from Louisville to Greencastle to visit his brother. From the road, he heard the roar of the falls. He bought 1,000 acres, which included the falls and Teal's rotting old mill. Jennings erected a saw mill, flour and woolen mill, a general store, and copper and blacksmith shops in what would later be called Jennings Township.

This information is taken from cataractfalls.com. (visit link)

Today, as you can see, all that remains is the water dam and some foundation blocks.
