Main Street Middletown is a food lovers destination - from Vegan to Mexican and plenty of unique choices in between.

When Guy Fieri stops in Connecticut I put those restaurants on the list of of a place to go eat. O'Rouke's is a tiny diner at the north end of Main St. When I stopped by I had breakfast - eggs with wheat toast. The toast was not from a plastic bag - something like you would make at home. A thick slice full of whole grains.

I saw in the menu that they have a full breakfast menu and plenty of hardy comfort food with lots of Irish inspired items that are reasonably priced. I wanted a steamed cheeseburger but on my visit (Saturday at 2:30pm) I could only order breakfast. The staff are friendly and very attentive. I understand why people sent Guy there.
