The wonderful Broad Street Room practically puts visitors right into the Parade. Other exhibits highlight special features such as the String Band Sound, with sound, of course. Video performances of past parades can be seen.

Throughout the Museum visitors will see the design sketches used by the various mummery clubs in the creation of their costumes. The beautiful and colorful sketches were donated by Robert Finnigan, who has been developing themes for the mummers for many years.

What is in the collection:
The Mummers Museum, preserves the uniforms, songs and memorabilia of the past and explains the customs of the Mummers clubs. The costumes steal the show: the playful, sometimes goofy rag-tags of the Comics, the gaudy sequin-festooned uniforms of the String Bands, and the often-massive feathered constructions of the Brigades and Fancy Division. You can push buttons to compose your own Mummers medley and learn the Mummers Strut; filmed highlights of past parades are shown on a large screen.
