This bear stands by itself at the intersection of M-32/Heatherton Rd/Maple Rd in Johannesburg, Michigan. It is just one of the OWL-Pine bears created.
From the Gaylord Herald Times:
"What is an OWL-Pine bear you ask? The Otsego Wildlife Legacy Society (OWLS) began issuing “permits” in 2007 to businesses, community groups and individuals interesting in “adopting” one of the bears. Adoptees were charged with using a theme to decorate their bear."
Unfortunately, this one has no plaque designating its name, who painted it, or who adopted it; therefore, this is another reason I call it the "Blue Bear". Others are located just down the road in Gaylord, Michigan.
