All of us Japanese knows KURUMA Torajiro, called "Tora-san".
Tora-san is the most famous Japanese movie charactor which has 48 series. This series is considered by the Guinness Book of World Records to be the longest movie series in the world.
Everytime he has something good/bad, he returns to his birthplace Shibamata. So, this is the place where his statue shall be set.
Just after his long trip to the Heaven in 1996, People's Honour Award was given for his contribution. More than 10 years has passed, we still love to visit here and meet Tora-san. He is much more than legend. He shall live longer and longer in our hearts.
