The northern Nevada city is the Las Vegas of the north. It's like Las Vegas but with less hoopla. Virginia Street in downtown is lined with casino after casino, whose lights shine bright when the sun goes down. The Reno sign on Virginia St lights up with all its glory, inviting visitors to roll the dice.
For people who aren't interested in spending a wad of money at the craps tables, there are other things to see. Take a stroll along the Truckee River promenade, which is located a few hundred feet from the main strip.
