This anchor is near the flagpole near the headquarters of the state park that occupies the area once known as Farragut Naval Training Station. The site of naval boot camp for sailors during WWII.
Along Lake Pend Oreille, Near Bayview Idaho. Opened in 1942 and closed in 1946. More information can be gathered at the museum at The Brig. But a good start is here at the visitor center.
I believe my father was here and graduated from this boot camp. You can search the photos in the visitor center, and maybe find yours too.
