Pocátek pivovarnictví v Dobranech (okres Plzen-jih) je datován již od roku 1378. Tehdy
udelil meštanum probošt Udarlich privilegium s právem várecným.
Toto právo potvrdil ceský král Vladislav II. i císar Ferdinand III.
Pivovar "Modrá hvezda" varí nefiltrované
pivo proslulou ceskou technologií s použitím tradicních surovin -
sladu, chmele a vody. Pivo se pije jako živé s vlastní
charakteristickou chutí a je cepováno v prírodním stavu bez
pasterizace.
