"In 1997 the Rotary Club of Lansing presented the city with this steam clock, built for Lansings citizens and all who visit michigan's Capitol City.
Rotary began in Chicago in 1905 as a small group of buisnessmen who rotated meetings among their offices. Thwe club has grown to a worldwide service organization of business and professional men and women.
Rotarians are asked to conduct their lives in accordance with this four way test:
Is it the truth?
Is it fair to all concerned?
Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
Will it be benificial to all concerned?
In 1916 the Rotary Club of Lansing was established.
This gift reflects the community spirit and ideals of the rotary organization.
