A favourite of ours as well many others in South East Queensland.
The ground has a good distribution of trees making this a great spot all year round, mostly making it cool during summer. There is a waterhole nearby to cool off in.
The facilities includes 3 toilet blocks (2 x conventional and 1 x compost), water (non potable), firepits (though you need to bring your own wood) and a horse yard. There are no showers.
The road is sealed except for the last 4km which is dirt but well graded.
There are plenty of bushwalks and horse riding trails though this is subject to closure due to logging, as well as plenty of forest trails to take the 4wd.
The nearest town is Kenilworth which is about 10km away, and Brisbane is about 150km.
Cost at time of posting is $4.50 per person per night.
