A snappy little Top 40 hit by the Sir Douglas Quintet in the mid 60's. Not much intellectual merit and nothing more than a simple 1-4-5 chord progression but I never forgot the name Mendocino.

Now we live there! Never could have guessed that would happen. Mendocino, town and county has been the site of many movies. The Russians Are Comming, Same time - Next year, Summer of 42, Racing with the Moon, East of Eden, and many others. Whenever you need an east coast 1860's looking town you'll find it here. Murder - She Wrote's Cabbot Cove is actually Mendocino. The posted coordinates will direct you to the Ford House Visitor Center of the Mendocino Headlines State "Park"
